A Step in the right Direction

Better lighting conditions and an easy to shoot subject made this shoot a great success! My first attempt at pets was fairly successful as well. It helped that Maverick and Goose were well trained and ready for their close ups...

A Walk in the Woods

In this session, I learned lighting is key.  The low light of the setting sun, made for difficult shooting.  The new camera and flash will definitely improve shoots like this.

Test..one..two

Sometimes they look great on the computer, but in print - not so much. So this was a test shot to get better quality prints. I love leaves, especially in the fall.

Chilled Cotten

Downtown Cleburne has some beautiful old buildings.  It was a chilly and windy day today, but I bundled up and dragged the kids out for a impromptu shoot anyway.  Jeffrey was delighted by the passing train, until it began to blow the whistle.  It was far too loud for him.

Working Backwards

This is where I started to think I might, possibly, one day, maybe, get a little serious. The kids were out playing in the backyard on a beautiful sunny day. I heard the camera calling my name. So with my little digital camera in hand, I snapped away. About a hundred pictures later, I came up with these. I know I'm biased because I'm their mom, but I think their little faces are beautiful.

New Beginnings

Photography has always been in my life.  As a child, I, along with my sister, our pets, trees, leaves and pretty much anything she could shoot, were the subjects of my mother's photos.  As an adult, the passion has arisen and I too am now shooting everything in sight.  My favorite subjects, of course, are my children.  The helpless guinea pigs of a photography mom.  At least their lives will be well documented.
